wow yu yu confessions is hitting a nerve for me tonight.

First off, fuck your gender roles. Who the fuck cares if Kurama is feminine? What are you even basing that on? His long hair and use of flowers as weapons? Wow, that’s not much to go on. If you want to comment on his clothing choices during the dark tournament, Hiei wore one of those robe things too and Hiei is far from feminine. Kurama is cold and hard and ruthless when it comes to his fights and I would not peg that as a feminine ideal at all.

Would it have been awesome if YYH had a woman in the main group? Yes. But it was the 90s and it was a shounen series aimed at young boys and I think it did pretty damn well given the circumstances. And wtf is Genkai? She fought with the boys for a good spell anyway. She has to count for something.

I don’t like kurama either, but this confession was a little too harsh xD
